Digital sketching plays a key role in helping to define and and give shape to a products details before moving to 3D or physical space..

Often carried out after initial paper sketches and ideas have been drafted, digital sketching comes in to bring the product to life using; color, texture, lighting, proportion, shape and material.

This is an important stage to carry out as it gives freedom and opportunity to still make explorative decisions or adjustments to a design and helps give a more realistic visual representation of how the product may end up looking once mass produced.
