AUTO-CHAIR
Brief
Design a comfortable and fully autonomous mobility chair for those in need within public spaces.
Story:
Designed in collaboration with RV Automotive Technology for the HK International Airport, the Auto-Chair is a ready-to-rent, AI-driven mobility vehicle for public spaces.
Once comfortably seated, users can simply tap in their boarding gate number, and will be automatically navigated to their destination. The design prioritizes user comfort and addresses apprehension in self-driving vehicles, with the 'wrap around' body shape providing users with a feeling of safety throughout their experience.

Scenario.
Larger open public spaces, such as airports, train stations, and hospitals, can often pose significant challenges in terms of navigation for individuals who are physically challenged or in need of additional mobility access. With the remarkable advancement of AI programming and automated transportation systems, the integration of these technologies can combine to create a seamless, effortless, and highly aided mobility experience that directly addresses the needs of users requiring assistance. This thoughtful approach not only enhances accessibility but also promotes a more inclusive environment for everyone.
